The ‘angry’ sauce! Apparently native to Rome the angry referee to the heat from the chillies in this rich tomato sauce. With the addition of extra chilli either fresh or in dried for the anger can be turned up to furious ‘arrabiattissimo’. Again a quick, spicy and satisfying  supper that requires little effort, making it ideal for those times when cooking feels like too much effort!


Tomatoes, onion, red pepper, chilli, red wine vinegar, sugar, basil, oregano, black pepper and salt.

Per 100g:

Energy 770kJ/182kcal, Fat 0g, of which saturates 0g, Carbohydrate 20g, of which sugars 9g, Protein 1.5g, Salt 0.5g.

A favourite spicy sauce, especially good with ragatoni pasta.
